White;
Clouds, heavens, angels from above.
Possess the sensuous,
passions, delusions, emotions of love.
Red;
Pedals, buds of the blooming rose.
Possess the sensuous,
obsessions, fascinations, patience of pose.
In my world of reality;
White, the color of your smoothe skin.
Red, the color of your sacred heart.
Keeps your soul within,
and tears my soul apart.
Only once in a person’s life;
Does a love like mine exist.
Be yourself, share my love,
and it will forever persist.

Ok,.. After tons of searching and dealing with tech support, I have found out the problem with Motorola RAZR and SLVR phones on Cingular Service. So here was the problem… I was building a site I wanted to have accessible to mobile devices. It loaded fine on all devices except for the Razr and Slvr phone where I was getting the error “Page cannot be displayed”. So obviously, that narrowed down my problem hunt. Next step was to realize that this was only occuring for these phones on Cingular, and not on Verizon service. So now I knew it was a cingular issue. I tried to determine if there was a workaround. After tons of support emails and calls, I found a viable solution to let me access WAP and XHTML web sites on this device. For all those other searchers out there, here is the work around:
- Go to Media Net, SELECT
- Go to My Links EDIT, SELECT
- Go to Add URL, SELECT
- One on the Add URL page text in the URL. Enter a name for the URL.
- The link is now ready to work on your Razr or SLVR device.
That is great for me to access sites, but how am I going to promote this and get users to come? That was not the only thing bothering me,.. In addition, how come it works when it is added as a bookmark, and not by just going to the “Go to URL” feature on the phone. After more personal concerns, I decided to do some more troubleshooting. I was able to access a few sites by just using the Go to URL method such as espn.com and nfl.com, but it seemed other sites like google.com and yahoo were not working.
I consider myself to be pretty good at troubleshooting and this was getting to me. Finally, I came to the realization that only sites are are already accessible or visible within media net will work using the “Go to URL” method on these phones. If you are on any page within media net and try to access a page outside of their ‘accepted network’ it does not let the page go through. However if you are on another page like nfl.com, and then try to go to google.com it will work. WRONG!
Ok, so why? I am guessing there is a security reason for limiting and blocking IP addresses from the mediaNet home and menu structure to outside sites that are not approved. I have not received confirmation on the reasons despite tons of requests… WRONG
So– Now I know the problem, but still have no solution on how to promote this to my users without provided detailed instruction just for two phones that are probably the most popular now. For devices with so much attention, you would think this would have been classified as a bug by now and resolved. I HAVE A SOLUTION
Ok, so when I orginally posted this, I was extermely angry and had no answers, so I escalated the matter. I now know what was going on… Here we go… So, when you are coming from Media NEt, you can only access WML sites and not XHTML sites using the “Go to URL” feature! So, the workaround is to create a WML 502 redirect page that will then point to the XHTML page and will be seamless to the user. This information is highly valuable and hopefully it will help someone else out there, especially for the countless hours of torture I went through!

Pearls sometimes protected
by the concerned outer layer;
Hiding the purity and
shielding from all evils.
Rarely has someone seen
the pearl of mention;
The truth only a person’s
intimate dream reveals.
For I can only wish to
see these pearls. Someone listen!
The passionate unveiling will one
day commense. Let them glisten!
The gates are opening, my
reflection stunned, glass
overwhelms all sensations.
Four sets of watchmen stand
up in approval, accepting and
admiring the pearl’s temptations.
—- what are the pearls? take a guess….
I doubted it too when I first heard it. I was out last night and someone mentioned something about there being a Bone Church that was built in the 1700’s. All of the interiors were buiilt with Human bones. The guy who built this was supposedly crazy and blind. So of course you could understand my doubt upon hearing this story for the first time. Once again, I was proven wrong. Check this out:

Is anger actually fear turned inwards?
Is truth barely possible to explain in words?
What do you observe?
What do others deserve?
Answers can be uncovered,
Either buried deep or highly hovered.
Searching simply may diverge,
While freeing from within can submerge.
Is holding back a form to purge?
Does releasing satisfy the curiosity urge?
Only you know the answer.

OK, … so rarely do I promote tech companies… But after being in the biz for a while, I did find this very cheap web hosting solution with a crapload of features. Check out 1&1 at www.1and1.com … Their hosting packages are cheap and reliable… If you plan to host a blog like this, it was very easy to register with them, get a domain, and hosting.
I used to use verio. They are the worst. Customer support is pitiful. I will never recommend that company to anyone again. Stay tuned…
